bookdateimwayr.jpgIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are, and about to be reading over the week.  This post is an excellent way to organize yourself, comment and connect with other bloggers, and, of course, add to the ever-growing TBR.

This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. I found it at Bookshelf Fantasies where I was trolling around for blog post ideas.

What I Recently Finished:

The Fifth Petal

The Fifth Petal by Brunonia Barry: Read My Full Review Here

Goodreads

A beautiful blend of mystery, murder, suspense, and the paranormal, The Fifth Petal kept me guessing from start to finish. With tragically human characters and an engaging, well-paced plot, this was definitely one of the better books I’ve read this month.

What I’m Reading Now:

The Ninth Circle

The Ninth Circle by C. A. Harland

Goodreads

Nighthunters Tala and Aiva Morgenstern must battle all manner of creature to find their missing sister.

Over 30% of the way through this book, and I am HOOKED.

Stay tuned for my final review in the next few days.

What I’m Reading Next:

The New Dark

The New Dark by Lorraine Thomson:

Goodreads

“She thought she knew who she was and where she came from. Then her home was destroyed. Her brother lost amongst the ashes. And the boy she loves vanished. She owed her own survival to a mutant — the very forces behind the destruction. Now Sorrel will never be the same again.”

Let me know in the comments what you’re reading or are excited to read, I’ll never turn down an opportunity to add to my TBR 😉

Happy Reading!

      1. I’m too early into it to know what to think yet. There’s been one instance of onomatopoeia so far in the the first couple chapters. That’s a personal pet peeve of mine. It hasn’t been excessive though so we’ll see how it goes.
